DEEP ROOTS & STRONG TIES
I am running for the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District because I care deeply about the future of my kids and yours. My family has lived in the Dry Creek Community since 2012 and my wife has roots going much further back, when there was only ONE school in the entire Dry Creek School District. Because of these strong ties to this community I feel a responsibility to see it continue to prosper for the next generation.
As a father of two young children in the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District, I have a vested interest in ensuring my children can thrive in the best academic environment possible. Well secured campuses, adequate support for teachers, parental awareness and involvement, and financial transparency are all key issues that have my attention.
Our schools should be focused on equipping our children with the knowledge they need to excel in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, and the arts. Scholastic achievement is a metric for the success of every student. No student should be left behind nor should anyone be held back in their pursuit of achieving their greatest potential.
I am confident that I can be a positive force to help students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and volunteers work together to implement the very best ideas and solutions.
About Ryan Haynes
I am originally from the Midwest. Growing up as a kid in Missouri in the 80's and 90's, I thoroughly enjoyed my public education experience. This was a unique and innocent time in the history of public education in America, just before the internet, smart phones, and social media transformed the way we interact with one another and the world around us.
During my teenage years, I was deeply impacted by the investment my parents, teachers, and pastors made in my life. Along the way I discovered a passion for inspiring others and helping them find solutions to move forward in their goals. As a Christian, this passion led me to pursue a vocation in pastoral ministry at Ozark Christian College.
In 2003, I graduated from college and moved to Roseville, California to work at Adventure Christian Church as an Associate Young Adults Pastor. It was there that I met my wife, Jessica, and we have been married now for 17 years! Working with young adults reinforced to me that with the right support and community, a young person can grow to thrive in their personal, professional, and spiritual pursuits.
In 2012, I earned my Masters Degree in Christian Leadership from Hope International University, with a focus on organizational health. I have worked in key leadership roles at several Christian Churches both in Missouri and California and I completed my pastoral career at Jessup University as their Campus Pastor. Working with so many different people has taught me how to lead with compassion as I inspire others to trek on through the valleys and peaks of life. Finding common ground, seeking solutions, and never losing hope are part of my leadership DNA. I believe those skills will serve me well as I endeavor to serve on the Dry Creek School Board.
Today, I use my education and experience to run my own management consulting business where I help individuals and teams discover their strengths and map a course to achieving their goals. I call my consulting practice Wayfinder and I find great satisfaction in helping individuals and teams of all sizes to leverage their unique strengths to achieve maximum results.
My wife and I are blessed to have a son and daughter, both of whom are students in the Dry Creek School District. In my free time I enjoy coaching my son's soccer and basketball teams, golfing or fishing (whichever one I can find the time for!), and adventuring with my family in the playground that is scenic Northern California.
While many folks are choosing to leave California these days, I still hold out hope for the future of our state and especially public education. With your support, I hope to make a positive difference for my students and yours that will benefit our entire community for years to come.
